Recognize and Avoid all Triggers of Asthma

This is one of the most important way to control your life for asthma sufferers. The most common triggers are cigarette smoke, dust and pets. Outdoors pollen and the cold air are most frequent to be triggers of asthma attacks.

Perform all the following precautions to reduce asthma triggers and the possibility of an asthma attack:

  • Avoid all types of smoke, including smoke from the fire or burn foliage. Smoke can irritate the eyes, nose and respiratory tract. People with asthma also should not smoke and should not get close to the smokers.
  • Because influenza can be the beginning of a serious asthma attack, do an annual flu vaccination. Wash your hands thoroughly as often as possible in order to avoid cold
  • If you’re allergic to pollen, use the ac and close all windows and doors during the pollen season.
  • Limit the use of eye contact lenses. Instead use the glasses when the pollen season. Because the grains can be trappedĀ  under contact lenses

  • Keep the humidity in the home
  • Avoid home decoration from contamination. Use anti-dust wrappers.
  • Keep the air in the house is always clean. Clean your air-conditioning and the heating room.
  • Avoid dusty work. Or use a mask at the time did.
  • Bath the pets regularly
  • Perform routine cleaning in your house. Clean the house at least once a week. Use a mask when cleaning your house.
  • Reduce stress and fatigue
  • For some people, sulfite can trigger an asthma attack. Sulfite is contained in various foods and beverages, including wine, beer, fresh and dried fruits, seafood and some soft drinks. If you are sensitive to sulfite, when eating outside, ask the waiter whether theĀ  food is spiked with sulfite or not. At home, check labels of foods containing sodium bisulfite, potassium bisufit, sulfur dioxide and potassium metabisulfit
